Here's a handy little shortcut: instead of going to our website and clicking Client Area every time you want to access the Client Area (cPanel), simply add /cpanel to the end of your domain, and you'll be greeted by the familiar login screen! For example: www.yourdomain.com/cpanel

This works for webmail as well. Simply add /webmail to the end of your domain. Example: www.yourdomain.com/webmail

In this how-to, we are using Flow, our favourite FTP client, but you can use virtually any FTP client you wish. The settings will remain the same.

In your FTP client, please use the following settings:

Protocol: FTP
Server: ftp.dvhost.com
Username: Your account username, which you will find in your welcome email
Password: Your account password
Path: public_html

Once you have entered these settings, click Connect. You should now be able to drag and drop files and folders to upload them.

For this how-to, we'll assume that your primary domain hosted with us is called www.maindomain.com, and you want to host an additional domain called www.addon.com.

First, you need to add your addon domain:
1. Login to the Client Area (cPanel).
2. Click on "Addon Domains", which you will find under the "Domains" heading.


3. You'll see a form named "Create an Addon Domain". The only fields you need to fill out are "New Domain Name" and "Password". Also note the username that is generated, as you'll need it later for the publishing setting.


Next, configure your Publishing Settings in RapidWeaver:
1. Go to the File menu and select "Publishing Settings" and use the following settings:
Server: rw.dvhost.com
User Name: addon@maindomain.com (this is made up of the username that was generated when you added the addon domain, followed by @ and your primary domain name. If you do have any problems, please contact our support team.
Password: The password you chose
Path: /


2. Click Test Connection to make sure your settings are correct.
3. Save your settings by clicking OK. That's it, you are ready to publish.

Tip: One great feature of addon domains is that each addon domain has its own unique login information, which is firewalled from the rest of your account. That means you can safely hand it out to clients.

We frequently receive emails asking about compatibility with Freeway Express, Freeway Pro and Sandvox. With Apple discontinuing iWeb web hosting on MobileMe, we have been receiving this question a lot. Here's your answer: Yes, absolutely, we can host your iWeb websites for you!

1. Select your website in iWeb, and change the "Publish to" menu to "FTP Server".

No matter whether you use RapidWeaver to design your own website(s), or offer your services to others, you probably need to register at least one domain name. You’ve toiled away countless hours making that perfect website, but now you’re stuck. Don’t worry, we’re here to help. Here’s what you need to do to publish your RapidWeaver website.

1) With your website project open in RapidWeaver, click the File menu and select Publishing Settings.

2) A window, as shown below, will pop up. Enter the Server, User Name and Password information we sent you after you ordered your web hosting package from DV Host.

3) Enter public_html in the Path field. This is very important so that RapidWeaver knows where to publish all your website files. When you’re done, click Test Connection to confirm your settings are correct and click Publish.
